Four in a row! The fourth ANSA annual day, ANSA ’19, was conducted on 2nd October 2019 at Hotel Vestin Park! This year saw the highest turnout, participation and award winners and we had the honour of hosting Dr. Leema Francis Dean, Commerce and Business Studies of Stella Maris College and Rev. Fr. Thomas Amirtham, Principal, Loyola College. The program was hosted by Dharini Subramanium and Smruthi Sridharan.
Two competitions titled IDEAthon and Pandora’s Box were conducted on stage.
IDEAthon involved 4 teams presenting their business ideas and financial plan to an expert panel of judges who evaluated the teams on the viability and the strength of the plan. The team consisting of Bharath Natarajan, Vendhan Muhilan and Abhishek won the competition.
Pandora’s Box was a mix of events (shipwreck, anti-shipwreck, Defend the Product and Attack the Product), requiring the students to display their spontaneity and sense of humour. The team consisting of Aishwarya Giridharan, Vaishinavee R, and Rohan S won the competition.
Ther was an off-stage event titled “Bulls and Bears”, a simulation of stock market where the partipants had to create and manage a portfolio of investments over a period of 5 days. Rajath came out on top by maintaining the highest wealth.
Following the contests, the students who became ACCA affiliates, ACCA India Rankholders and those who achieved excellent results in various papers were awarded. Click here to know more about the achievers of ANSA.
Dr. R. S. Murali addressed the gathering and on this occasion, ANSA also honoured the contribution of its backbone tutor, Mr. Shanmugam S.
The day ended with a set of spectacular cultural performances followed by a networking dinner.
